In our continuing effort to bring you the best possible home automation software, we
have released version 7 of HCA. Before you go further please take a look at all the
exciting features of HCA7.
We bet you have some questions:
Do I qualify for an upgrade?
You can purchase the upgrade if you are a registered user of
any version of HCAand still have it installed on the computer you will be installing HCA
7.
I have HCA 7 Standard and want to upgrade to HCA 7
Plus. Can I do this?
Yes. Just follow the instructions listed below.
How much does the upgrade cost?
As outlined in the HCA
7 information there are
three flavors of HCA 7. The cost for the upgrade depends
upon which version and flavor of HCA you have now, and what
flavor and version your would like. The costs are
in this chart.
Locate what you currently have registered along the top of this chart
and what you want to use along the left side. The upgrade price is listed.
Before you buy, please read this:
Can I upgrade from HCA Limited?
No. HCA Limited is a no-cost copy of HCA. We freely admit that HCA limited
is a way to show you most of the features of HCA and show you how easy it is to
use HCA in your home. We hope it proves so interesting to you that you
will purchase HCA Standard, Plus, or Pro. Since HCA Limited costs nothing,
there is no upgrade pricing from it.
How do I purchase an upgrade?
Purchase for the upgrade is made in a very simple way using PayPal. There
are links at the bottom of this page that will take you to the PayPal site and get your
order ready.
How does it work with PayPal and how do I get the upgrade instructions?
Once you complete the purchase with PayPal we get an email from them telling us
that you have made the purchase. We then verify that you are a registered user
and once that is done we send you download instructions for
HCA and a new registration
key. You should receive email from us within 2 business days,
and often much quicker, after you make the
purchase with PayPal. If you have not received email from us within 2 business days,
please send email to technical support.
The download instructions contain a link to where you can download HCA. You also receive a registration key.
Can I get the upgrade on a CD?
Do I receive one in addition to the download?
No. As it says above, after the
purchase you will be emailed download instructions. At this time we don't
make HCA upgrades available on CDs. Everything
that would be on a CD is already available for download.
What is your upgrade and support policy?

What if I purchased HCA and never registered?
Well, you were told to register! See there was a reason! Send email to
technical support with details on when and where you
purchased HCA and what version it was. Technical support will help you get
registered so you can qualify for the upgrade.
What if I purchased HCA 6,
or upgraded to HCA 6, within two months prior to the release of
HCA 7?
As outlined on the Upgrade and Support page if you just
purchased or upgraded HCA recently
you can receive a no cost upgrade to HCA 7. Send email to
technical support with information on when and where you purchased your
previous version of HCA.
Upgrade Pricing
This pricing chart is only if you are already a
registered HCA user and want to upgrade to the latest version or to upgrade to a
more capable flavor of HCA. Locate what you currently have registered along the top of this chart and what
you want to use along the left side. The upgrade price is listed.
Use the button to make the purchase. These upgrades are
handled by PayPal and download as described above.
Please read this before purchase:
As it says above, after you complete the purchase we get notified by
PayPal. We then send email to you using the buyer email address that
PayPal gave us. Every so often we either can't send email to you - the
buyer address is wrong or blocked - or we do send it and you don't receive it.
After a few days you start sending up emails saying "were
is my download"? And we can't reply because those replies bounce back or you
don't get our replies. So what do we do? We keep trying to send you
email. We start doing internet searches looking for a phone number so we
can call you. Or if all fails, we print out the download instructions and
postal mail them to you using your PayPal shipping address. And still
sometimes that doesn't work.
So please, if you don't receive your download
instructions within 2 business days, check your junk email catcher if you have
one as our emails may be there! And if that fails, in your "Were is my
download" email, please include a phone number so we can call you and resolve
this.
