I am getting ready to jump into HA with both feet and I have a question. Does HCA 9.x support the new Insteon PowerLinc Modem - USB Interface (Dual-Band) Item# 2413U? I am planning to run HCA Plus version 9.

I don't know that it is officially supported but I recently purchased a 2413U and replaced my 2412U unit. HCA can "see" the 2413U as a 2412U and appears to work fine.
I'm still evaluating the pros/cons of the 2413U vs 2412U ...esp since the 2413U is so new. 2413U is dual band but has less link cap than the 2412U...and costs more....the link capacity isn't an issue for me....BUT there have been rumblings that the 2413U may have some comm issues (not HCA related!, just in general/the HW itself) ...and that the 2412U is better ....which concerns me.

Our expereience is that the 2413 seems better at comm than the 2412. But all PowerLincs seem to have, at some time or another, a problem staying connected to the computer USB Bus.
There is a thread on this that you should read.
