Does anyone else run a web server in their house? I run xampp (http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html) on my Windows Home Server box so I can have php and mysql. In addition to that I have the built in web interface from WHS, the SageTV web interface, and my Spiceworks interface... all which run their own web server. So I've got a few web servers running in my house and I use them quite a bit.

Yep, I run HCA 9 on Server 2003 and have been for about, oh, 9 months or so now. Runs on an HP Dual Threaded Pentium 4 with 4gb and 2tb drives. Works smooth as silk with HCA. I run Apache on this guy as my company web server. Fact is, this machine is the main workhorse of my entire data/automation network.

I do as well. I run a web hosting side business out of my home (I am a sysadmin by trade as well). I host ~40 domains for various folks, powered by two load balanced quad core machines with a boatload of ram running Apache with the works (mod_php, mod_perl, oh heck, mod_everything ;)), with redundant MySQL back-end servers (total DB size these days is around 200+gb). Of course, I use the setup as a ProxyPass gateway to get at my HCA9 Plus webserver as well on the HCA machine. :)

I do indeed. Nothing ultra special, Comcast Business Class is what I use, and even though it has the nasty word "Comcast" in it, they're actually fantastic service. I've used them for the past 2 homes I've lived in, and the quality, performance, and stability are light years ahead of Comcast residential service. They truly treat "Comcast Business" as a different company, and its even installed on different circuits in your neighborhood. Well worth the added cost IMHO.
Static IP's are relatively cheap from them as well, I have 20 or so static IP's for I believe $20 a month or so, its very reasonable. The bandwidth is 30mbit down and 15mbit up, which is more than adequate to serve up what I host. Works out well. :)
