Using HCA web service

Hi :confused:
Been a user of HCA since ver 7, but new on this forum.
I would like to use the web service, maybe I am not looking at the right places but I can't find the related software. Is it part of HCA,it is described in the user manual. I just moved to ver 9 of HCA, or is it an add on. I have the documentations that goes with it but not the software. Where can I get it.

welcome paul!

glad you have been around long enough to see these changes! the web interface is now part of the HCA Plus install. if you have the HCA Plus version you already have the web interface installed.

in HCA click on HCA on the menu bar. then click properties. now click the web tab. one check box of interest is "Start HCA Web Server when HCA starts". this will start the web server automatically when hca starts.

you can also click the button Start HCA Web Server to immediately start the server...

One more question -
Can you use the client/server option AND the web service at the same time?

yup, just make sure you're on different ports.
