Power Track

With most recent devices being 2-way - they transmit and receive - and the ability to automatically broadcast their state when locally controlled, it is now possible for the HCA to be kept fully informed about when a device goes on and at what level, and when it goes off. HCA keeps this information on a device by device basis - in addition to the send and receive log - and uses this information to display current power usage and power usage over a number of different time periods.

During the test period for HCA 12 several of the testers using this new feature made unexpected discoveries about how much power was being used in some rooms of their homes. Before spending time and money on, for example, switching to more efficient lighting fixtures, it helps to know where the most "bang for the buck" can be found. Power Track is one way to find that.
